EARTHxFilm has announced its CALL FOR ENTRIES looking for documentary, narrative and short submissions for the second annual film festival in April 2018 with prize money totaling $25,000.  EARTHxFilm takes place during EARTHx, a global environmental expo and summit in Dallas, Texas.

EARTHxFilm looks to take the audience member from an emotional reaction to action by showcasing films and emerging media that explore conservation, climate change and the environment,” said Michael Cain, president of EARTHxFilm. “Our first call for entries offers the opportunity to filmmakers to submit their films and projects that have the potential to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Dennis Bishop, co-creator of EARTHxFilm EDU added: “Through film, young people have the opportunity to highlight the immediacy of the issues we face and to be part of the quest for viable solutions.  Humans respond to stories and we are fortunate to be able to put a camera in a student’s hands and give them the power to tell the story that needs to be told.”
